SmartyColours (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information in the SmartyColours app.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
SmartyColours is designed for children and families. We do not collect any information that directly identifies a person (e.g., names, email addresses, phone numbers), and we do not upload user-generated content to our servers.
- No names, email addresses, or contact details
- No precise location data
- No drawings or photos are uploaded to our servers
2. Children’s Privacy
We design SmartyColours to avoid collecting children’s personal data. In the United States, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In the EU and UK, we comply with GDPR/UK GDPR. If we ever introduce features that require consent, we will obtain consent from the holder of parental responsibility where required by local law.
3. Local Data Storage
Drawings and app preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us or to any third party.
4. In-App Purchases
SmartyColours offers optional in-app purchases to unlock additional coloring packs. Payments are processed securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.
5. Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck to understand app performance and improve the experience (for example, counting how often a coloring page is opened or whether a purchase screen is viewed). TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-friendly:
- Data is anonymized on your device before it is sent.
- We do not receive information that identifies you personally.
- No advertising IDs or persistent device identifiers are used for tracking.
- We receive aggregated, event-level statistics only; no profiling for advertising.
We do not combine analytics data with other information to attempt to identify any individual.
6. Your Rights
If you are in a region with data protection rights (e.g., EU/UK), and you believe we hold personal data about you, contact us and we will review and, where applicable, honor your request (access or deletion). Because we design the app to avoid collecting personal data, we typically do not have information we can link to a specific person.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and highlight material changes in the changelog below.
